Jeremy Miado aims to break into the strawweight top five with a win over Hiroba Minowa

With a win over Hiroba Minowa at ONE Fight Night 23, Jeremy Miado will not only snap a three-fight losing skid, but he'll also break into the strawweight MMA division's top 10.

Returning to the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, the promotion's next Amazon Prime Video offering will host a ONE strawweight kickboxing world championship showdown as Jackie Buntan takes on seven-time titleholder Anissa Meksen.

Also appearing on the card will be former ONE lightweight MMA world champion Ok Rae Yoon and reigning ONE welterweight submission grappling world titleholder Tye Ruotolo.

But first, fans will see Miado step back inside the Circle for a high-stakes scrap with Japanese standout Hiroba Minowa.

Speaking with The MMA Superfan ahead of his return to the Mecca of Muay Thai, 'The Jaguar' believes that a win over Minowa will likely thrust him into the division's top-five rankings, effectively putting him back into the title picture.

"If I beat him, I’ll have a chance to return to the top five in the rankings," Miado said.

Jeremy Miado and Hiroba Minowa are both in desperate need of a win

It's been a rough go for both Jeremy Miado and Hiroba Minowa over the last couple of years.

'The Jaguar' has suffered three straight losses against Mansur Malachiev, Lito Adiwang, and Keito Yamakita—two of those defeats coming by way of submission.

The same could be said for his opponent who has come up short in his last three outings as well. Minowa has seen his struggles come against former ONE strawweight MMA world champion Jarred Brooks, and top-five contenders Bokang Masunyane and most recently, Gustavo Balart.

Who snaps their streak and solidifies themself as one of ONE Championship's top-five strawweight MMA contenders?

ONE Championship fans in the United States and Canada can watch ONE Fight Night 23 live and for free via Amazon Prime Video in U.S. primetime on Friday, July 5.
