Jiri Prochazka seemingly reiterates claims about Alex Pereira using magic ahead of UFC 303 clash: "He is trying to play something"

Jiri Prochazka is convinced that Alex Pereira is using mystical forces to gain an edge over him and he cannot be convinced otherwise.

The pair is set to rekindle battle connection in the main event of UFC 303, which goes down on June 29 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. They previously crossed paths in another main event fixture at UFC 295, which Pereira won by TKO in the second round.

Leading up to the rematch, Prochazka has woven a narrative suggesting that 'Poatan' has resorted to esoteric practices and the help of shamanic magic to strengthen his advantage. Periera, on the other hand, asserts that he has simply found his spirit, a void in Prochazka's arsenal beyond his control.

The pair sized each other up one last time before they lock horns inside the octagon at the ceremonial weigh-ins. The face-off was every bit as advertised and intense as the matchup has evolved. A video has now surfaced of 'BJP' launching parting words and doubling down on his accusations against Pereira. He said:

"He is trying to play something. I saw him in his eyes. What he's doing some technique. It doesn't matter, I'm pure. I don't care. I just want to show a pure performance. Who's the best? I [am]."

Israel Adesanya lays down prediction for Alex Pereira vs. Jiri Prochazka rematch

Israel Adesanya is backing Jiri Prochazka to triumph over Alex Pereira in their rematch at UFC 303.

Prochazka won the 205-pound strap at UFC 275 with a fifth-round submission victory over Pereira's mentor Glover Teixeira. He relinquished the throne after succumbing to a shoulder injury. Meanwhile, 'Poatan,' who's coming off his first defense of the light heavyweight throne against Jamahal Hill, defeated the Czech fighter at UFC 295 to capture the vacant title.

Previewing the UFC 303 card on his YouTube channel, Adesanya claimed that he believes Prochazka will get the job done against Pereira. He said:

“I’m going to go Jiri because we’re the chosen few. But also, I think he might have learned from his mistake because people don’t understand, and it also makes things interesting — if [Jiri beats Alex] then it’s a trifecta, a trilogy, yeah. And I won’t be the only guy to knock this guy out. ... I’m going to go Jiri, and I’m going to go by third-round, or fourth-round finish”.
