Joe Rogan alerts fans about fake "AI" podcast with Steve Jobs going viral: "It's getting close"

Matti, a native of Estonia, claimed he's seen Joe Rogan Experience episodes where Rogan interviewed someone he's never met before. Matti says that the AI bots in the Russian Federation has made such leaps when it comes to deep-fake AI.

Rogan is well aware of this, even saying there's a 40-minute podcast of him conversing with the late Apple founder, Steve Jobs, whom he's never met. AI made this possible.

Rogan said:

"You can do amazing things now with AI, you know. You could do it with video editing for sure. Like you could just have a guy splice in him being in this chair, me being in that chair and if you did it right and you spend your time on it, you can make it very convincing."

He added:

"And that's just the beginning, man. There's a podcast with me and Steve Jobs. I never met Steve Jobs. I think it's 40 minutes long... It's a completely AI-generated podcast. It's just audio, but from what I heard, you can kinda tell, but it's getting close. It's getting to a point where you're going to be able to tell."

Joe Rogan and Ari Matti speculate if AI can destroy stand-up comedy

Speaking further on AI, Joe Rogan and Ari Matti speculated if AI will become so advanced that it will take over the world - and whether we'll have to rebel against it.

The two then compared our situation with the film franchise The Matrix, which was about a highly intelligent AI army imprisoning humanity in a virtual reality world while harvesting their bodies for energy. In the films, humanity mounted a rebellion against the machines.

Commenting on this, Rogan said:

"There will be a rebellion. No question whatsoever."

Matti then commented on how AI won't be able to simulate or mimic comedy, saying:

"I love when people go 'Is AI going to destroy stand-up comedy?' I always love to say that stand-up, luckily is the artform that can comment on its own demise, kind of. Like, even if AI creates the perfect act, the perfect 'hahaha' laughs per minutes, you're gonna be able to comment how f**ked that is."
