Joe Rogan astonished by Khamzat Chimaev's jaw-breaking win over Robert Whittaker at UFC 308: "His talent is undeniable"
Joe Rogan was left stunned by the manner in which Khamzat Chimaev defeated Robert Whittaker at UFC 308.
'Borz' faced Whitaker in the co-main event at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi last weekend. The pair faced off in a crucial middleweight bout, with the winner expected to face champion Dricus du Plessis in 2025.
While many fans were expecting a highly competitive fight that may have gone the distance, Chimaev opted to read a different script entirely. The 30-year-old immediately took 'The Reaper' down and proceeded to nullify any of his offense with the use of his wrestling and pressure-heavy style.
The general consensus among fans was that Whittaker would soon take over if he could weather the storm in the early rounds. However, Chimaev never let up or gave him a second to breathe. He locked in a face crank submission, causing Whittaker to tap in the fourth minute of the first round.
It was later revealed that Chimaev's face crank had displaced a row of Whittaker's teeth, which later led to high praise from Joe Rogan on his podcast.
Speaking on episode #2220 of the Joe Rogan Experience (JRE), the UFC commentator admitted there was no longer a question about Khamzat Chimaev's talent:
"He's [Chimaev] terrifying. He doest that to everybody. Everybody he gets ahold of, he just ragdolls, even really elite wrestlers. It's very extraordinary. His talent is undeniable. Seeing him break Robert Whittaker's jaw by squeezing across his face, wow...The amount of technique he has and the intensity of attack, it's unlike anybody else."

Joe Rogan reveals why Kamala Harris JRE invitation fell through
Joe Rogan recently explained why Kamala Harris has yet to appear on the JRE podcast, revealing he had in fact been in contact with her team.
The UFC commentator recently had Donald Trump on the show for an episode that shattered multiple records across social media. This led to many fans calling for him to invite Harris, as she is the Democrat candidate running against Trump.
Speaking on the same episode, Rogan shed some light on the situation. He said Harris was invited to do the show but was unable to make it due to her campaign schedule. Rogan added that he hoped she would still accept his invitation before the election:
"She had an opportunity to come here when she was in Texas, and I [extended] an open invitation [to her]. I said, 'Anytime.' I said, 'If she's down at 10 o'clock, I'll come back here at 10 o'clock... She actually reached out when she found out that he [Trump] was coming on, so their camp reached out to me."
