Joe Rogan and Belal Muhammad are blown away by "world beater" Paddy Pimblett’s UFC 304 performance: "He's right now thinking about Islam"
Joe Rogan is one of the most highly respsected voices in mixed martial arts, having served as the UFC commentator since 1997. While he was not on the call for UFC 304 as he no longer travels to events overseas, the popular podcast host recently shared that he was impressed with Paddy Pimblett's first-round submission victory over Bobby Green.
Speaking to guest Belal Muhammad on episode #162 of JRE MMA Show, Rogan said he believes the No.15-ranked lightweight lost to Jared Gordon before adding:
"Then Paddy fights Bobby Green and he looks like a world beater. He looks like a world beater. The strategy was perfect - stay on the outside, f**k his legs up. And then, you realize how big Paddy is, too. Paddy's a big '55er... 'King', he's a tall dude, too, for the division, but you realize how big Paddy is and people think of Paddy only as a grappler, but his kicks were on point."
Muhammad chimed in, questioning why Green shot for a takedown before praising Pimblett's stardom. Rogan agreed before claiming:
"He's just fun. He looks like he's having a good old time when he's out there. And he can back it up. So, that fight was big for him because that fight moves him into elite status. He goes from Jared Gordon and now a couple other fights now, bam, Bobby Green, bam, someone's going to be a big name. Someone next is going to be a big name. So, he's thinking right now about Islam [Makhachev]. He's thinking about those guys at the top of the heap."

Muhammad added that due to his starpower, beating a lightweight contender such as Dan Hooker or Michael Chandler could propel him to a title opportunity.
While the welterweight champion agreed with Rogan's assessment that Pimblett's camp should want him to take a few more fights before challenging for UFC gold, he believes the promotion could push the No.15-ranked lightweight for monetary reasons.
Joe Rogan claims Tyson Fury would not last one round against Francis Ngannou in a real fight
Joe Rogan recently shared his thoughts on a potential mixed martial arts bout between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou. Speaking to guest Belal Muhammad on episode #162 of JRE MMA Show, the UFC commentator stated:
"I'm a huge boxing fan, boxing is amazing, I love boxing, but we all know if Francis Ngannou and Tyson Fury had a fight fight, that s**t would not last one round. There's not a chance in he** if they had a fight fight, a real fight, like an MMA fight. Boxing is a sport. MMA is the sport of fighting. It's the hardest f**king thing to do as an athlete."
