Joe Rogan believes Mike Tyson could have defeated Muhammad Ali at his prime: "He's built like a brick sh*thouse"

Joe Rogan recently expressed his admiration for Mike Tyson as a boxer. Furthermore, Rogan claimed Tyson would defeat the legendary Muhammad Ali if they squared off during 'Iron Mike's' prime.

In an episode of his podcast The Joe Rogan Experience, the UFC commentator spoke to fitness entrepreneur Brett Sorin and sang praises of Tyson, saying:

''He [Tyson] was a freak. He was a very unusual because all the other heavyweights were a bit slow and even if they could hit hard, they were lumbering. He was bobbing and weaving and moving and he was a small heavyweight. He wasn't even six feet tall, so he's built like a brick sh*thouse, he's got a twenty-inch neck. He weighs 220 pounds and moves like a guy who weighs 150. And he throws lightning bolts at your central nervous system. He hits you in the body and your legs were shutting off. He was a monster"

In addition, Rogan made a bold claim that Tyson would've defeated Ali at his prime, saying:

''I just think you can't maintain that forever and I think I always, when I look at Fighters I try to look at them like when they were white hot, just burning hot at the highest level that they could achieve. I feel that, as great as Muhammad Ali was, I don't see him surviving against Tyson at his best.''

As for Tyson, he returned to professional boxing last month in a heavyweight showdown against Jake Paul. The 58-year-old was previously scheduled to face Paul on July 20 but an ulcer flare-up while travelling forced him to withdraw from the contest.

Despite the health concerns, Tyson faced Paul and suffered a unanimous decision defeat which upset many including Rogan.

''You know the day after the fight, Right after the day after I woke up, I told my wife why did I do that? I just don't know what the hell goes on...My body was really sore. My chest, my stomach and stuff was really sore."
