Joe Rogan believes sports and games helped prevent humans from "f**king each other up"
Joe Rogan remains one of the most famous and influential people on the planet, thanks to his extremely popular podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience (JRE). In the latest episode, #1909, the UFC commentator shared his thoughts on the deeper effects that sports have had on humans.
Speaking to guest Stavros Halkias, Rogan stated:
"There's a thing that people have inside of them, they want to conquer. Women want to do it, too, they want to do it socially, and some women physically. It's a weird thing that we have in us and it makes you wonder, if people hadn't figured out sports and hadn't figured out games, how much would we be f**king each other up?"
Rogan continued:
"It seems like that's what people are designed to do, and all these other things that we do, that all the other animals don't do, are probably the thing that has allowed us to become what we are. It's probably the things that allowed us to figure out civilization. We figured out ways to get along, like 'let's play with a ball, I'm gonna hit this ball instead of your f**king head.'"
While wars will likely always exist, as long as there is something worth fighting over, the growth of sports has coincided with the advancement of civilization, as Rogan points out. It is unclear if the two are linked, however, most humans generally fill their innate desire to conquer through sports.

Elon Musk discusses potential flying car by Tesla with Joe Rogan
Elon Musk has frequently appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience, where he discusses plenty of topics with podcast host Joe Rogan. During an appearance on the podcast last year, the CEO of Tesla opened up on his plans to make the Tesla Roadster a flying car.
Musk initially stated that he wants to add rocket technology to the car, before sharing:
"I want it to hover. I got to figure out how to make the thing hover without killing people. I thought maybe we could make it hover, but not too high. Maybe it could hover a meter above the ground or something like that. If you plummet, you blow out the suspension, but you're not going to die."
The Tesla Roadster is reportedly set to be released in 2023, however, it is unlikely that the car will be able to hover. Either way, it will be very impressive, as Musk claimed that the car will have the ability to go from 0 to 60 mph in 1.1 seconds and possess a top speed of over 250 mph.
