Joe Rogan calls media "polarizing", says his "liberal" parents never mocked or looked down on "Republicans"

Joe Rogan is known to share his opinion on a wide variety of topics on his immensely popular podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience. The UFC commentator recently weighed in on the political divide between Democrats and Republicans in the United States.

Speaking to guest Alan Graham on episode #2181 of JRE, Rogan claimed that society has become anxiety-ridden before adding:

"We're losing our understanding of humanity. And it's also extremely polarizing - we had a conversation about this at your place - the news today, it's so polarizing. It's us versus them inside our country for the first time in my life. When I was a kid, when I was in high school, my parents were very liberal and they never talked disparagingly about conservative people or Republicans."

Rogan continued:

"They just thought they were wrong. That's all it was. Like, they had conservative friends. They would sit at the dinner table and have conversations about stuff and maybe they'd argue, but it was always fine. It was just two human beings disagreeing on things. Now, it's like everybody's a Nazi or everybody's a communist. It's just one side is absolutely sure that they're right and the the other side is absolutely sure that they're right."

"My neighbors were gay and my aunt used to, she would smoke pot with these gay guys and they would get naked and play the bongos. They would be like, 'oh, she's over there playing the bongos with the gay guys'.
