Joe Rogan concerned about shocking TikTok reports on location surveillance - "This might be a real f***ing problem"
UFC color commentator Joe Rogan has shared on Instagram his continuing concerns with the popular video app TikTok and its invasive terms and conditions.
According to a post by Rogan, ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok, allows the app to collect information like the exact location of its users. TikTok has also been criticized for gathering user information with regard to browsing history and where users physically tap on the screen.
Joe Rogan posted on Instagram:
"TikTok Parent ByteDance planned to use TikTok to monitor the physical location of specific American citizens"
He captioned the post with:
"Anyone else think this might be a real f***ing problem?"
This isn't the only time Rogan has raised concerns over the app. In an episode of This Past Weekend with Theo Von, the pair discussed the app TikTok and labeled it as "Chinese spyware" due to its extensive terms and conditions.
Rogan said:
"I think a lot of people now, with things like TikTok, because there's been a lot of articles about it, a lot of people are calling for it to be banned because it's basically Chinese spyware. I think what they [China] want is intellectual property, they want data... It's so insane. One of the more disturbing things they're saying is they could have access to computers that don't even have TikTok."

UFC fighter Bryce Mitchell has called out Joe Rogan for criticizing flat-Earth theory
Controversial UFC featherweight fighter Bryce Mitchell has responded to Joe Rogan after the comedian posted an article on social media that de-bunked flat-Earthers and flat-Earth theory.
The No.9 ranked Mitchell took issue with Rogan’s post because the scientist in the image is holding what appears to be a type of trident. According to 'Thug Nasty', the trident represents a weapon of the Devil, which is against his beliefs.
"I'm here to call out Joe Rogan for talking crap about me and my mama...The guy's holding a trident in the picture and you'll think I'm crazy for thinking this is a religious thing. He's holding a trident, a symbol of the devil. They are trying to feed you these lies to make you think that "science" is right. That god didn't create this universe, the big bang did."
Mitchell then challenged Rogan for a debate where he believed he would "smoke" the argument against flat-Earth theory:
"I used to be an atheist. I used to believe all that crap from Neil DeGrasse Tyson. And I'm just so sick and tired of hearing your crap Joe, about flat earthers being stupid. Boy, I'll smoke you in a debate. I'll smoke you and there ain't nothing you can do to beat me in a debate brother. Cause you ain't got no proof."
