#3. Joe Rogan defends Floyd Mayweather's firing of referee during John Gotti III bout
Joe Rogan recently weighed in on the controversy surrounding Floyd Mayweather and John Gotti's trilogy boxing bout, which saw 'Money' fire and replace a referee midway through the fight.
The exhibition bout was fought last weekend and in the second round, Mayweather landed a looping right hook that caught Gotti on the ear. The referee then incorrectly ruled the strike as a back-of-the-head shot. Mayweather then become irate, firing the referee immediately and replacing him with another.
Rogan then discussed Mayweather's decision to change referees during episode #2195 of the Joe Rogan Experience (JRE), where he admitted he agreed with the boxing veteran. He said:
"It's Floyd Mayweather. Like, what's the referee going to do? 'F*** you, I'm gonna stop the fight?' Also, they're in Mexico City, like you could get killed. Like, just get out of the ring, buddy. So, Floyd throws this punch and he's 100% correct, the punch landed on the side of the head. It's a right hook, it's a perfect punch."

Dana White has once again gone on the offensive in regards to defending Jon Jones' status as the UFC GOAT and No.1 pound-for-pound fighter.
During this week's Dana White's Contender Series (DWCS) post-fight presser, White got into a spirited debate with reporters Kevin Iole and John Morgan. The UFC CEO was questioned about his stance on 'Bones.' In response, White fiercely defended the heavyweight champion. He said:
"Are you guys that f**king stupid? You can’t be that f**king stupid to think that Jon Jones is not the pound-for-pound best fighter in the world and the GOAT, but maybe you are?"

#1. UFC drops ticket prices for upcoming pay-per-view at The Sphere
On Sept. 14, MMA and boxing will go head-to-head as the Riyadh Season Noche UFC (UFC 306) will start at the same time boxing star Canelo Alvarez faces Edgar Berlanga.
Noche UFC will mark the first combat sports event ever to be hosted at the Las Vegas Sphere. Just a few miles away, Alvarez will be stepping into the ring at the T-Mobile Arena to take on Berlanga.
Whilst most promotions in MMA or boxing would have seen the schedule clash as an issue, Dana White is pulling out all the stops to ensure the UFC has a strong showing.
After spending upwards of $20 million to put on the event, White appears to have gone a step further, with reports stating that he has slashed the ticket prices to ensure the arena is sold out.
