Joe Rogan discusses potential boxing fights and opponents for Francis Ngannou
Francis Ngannou is a mixed martial arts free agent after being unable to agree to terms on a new contract with the UFC. With reports suggesting the former UFC heavyweight champion will venture into boxing, UFC commentator Joe Rogan discussed his options.
Speaking to guest Paul Felder on episode #135 of The Joe Rogan Experience MMA Show, the podcast host stated:
"Mr. Ngannou, please, hear me out. Just for legacy and just for also money, I think the big money is if he has an account - what if he knocks out Dillian Whyte, right? What if they set him up with some boxer who's an elite boxer - not Tyson Fury - you got to remember Ngannou is 265, ripped, naturally with canned hams for fists. He's a f**king specimen, and the power is extraordinary."
Rogan later added:
"[Deontay] Wilder versus Ngannou would be crazy. That would be crazy. How about that fight? I just want him to get that payday. [The UFC] offered him more money than any heavyweight, but I think the sticking point was that he wanted to be able to go off and do boxing. To his credit, he's like, 'Conor McGregor did it, why can't I do it?' Conor made $100 million in the Floyd Mayweather fight."
Ngannou is yet to announce the next step in his career, however, he has plenty of options. The former UFC heavyweight champion appears likely to take at least one boxing match before returning to mixed martial arts.

Tyson Fury calls out Francis Ngannou
Francis Ngannou has his options open as he is a free agent after being unable to reach a deal with the UFC. WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury recently called out the former UFC heavyweight champion while speaking with Seconds Out Boxing, stating:
"Francis Ngannou, I know you're out of contract with the UFC. You want to earn some big boy money? Come see The Gypsy King and let's do a big, big fight for the baddest MF on the planet, and let's kick it up spicy, in a cage, four ounce gloves under Queensbury [rules] and let's have a bad a** referee like Iron Mike Tyson. Did I just sell that to the world?"
Ngannou and Fury previously teased a fight in 2022 after the latter knocked out Dillian Whyte. Both fighters will likely stand to make plenty of money if they do end up clashing.
