Joe Rogan and Donald Trump discuss "the most dangerous business" in latest JRE episode, slam media for dismissing assassination attempts
Joe Rogan and Donald Trump recently denounced the U.S. media for trivializing the multiple assassination attempts against the former POTUS. Ahead of the U.S. presidential elections, Trump appeared on the latest episode of The Joe Rogan Experience (JRE) on Friday.
During their interaction, Rogan lauded Trump for his talent in public speaking and his mastery of audience engagement. He noted that as a politician, the 78-year-old Republican leader infuses a distinctly witty comedic flair into his speeches – a quality that is rare in the political arena.
Trump stated that possessing the vibrant persona of a comedian is essential in politics, which he described as a perilous profession. This led the seasoned UFC commentator to the assassination attempts on Trump that occurred during the election campaign. He said:
"It's [politics] the most dangerous business... I mean, other than going to war, being a firefighter, or being a cop, it's the most dangerous business [being a president]. You haven't even gotten to the election, and there have been two assassination attempts."
Rogan further lashed out at the media for minimizing the incidents in mainstream discourse. He pointed out that had a similar situation occurred with Joe Biden or any other Democratic leader, the reaction would have been markedly different:
"They've brushed those out of the news like it was nothing. Imagine if there were assassination attempts on Biden; how hard people would be attacking the right [wing], how they would be trying to get guns taken away from people. They would try to ramp up gun laws, they would try to figure out some way to blame you. If Biden got shot in the ear, we would have never heard the end of it."

Donald Trump jokingly calls on Joe Rogan to endorse his run for the presidency
During the same episode, Donald Trump revealed that billionaire businessman Elon Musk had recently endorsed him and joined his campaign in Butler, Pennsylvania. He then encouraged Joe Rogan to back his presidential campaign against Democratic candidate Kamala Harris in the upcoming elections:
"He [Musk] gave me the nicest endorsement. You should do the same thing, Joe, because you cannot be voting for Kamala. Kamala. You’re not a Kamala person. I know you."
Trump further playfully referenced former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov in a bid to persuade Rogan to lend his support:
"I have watched you for so many years. You’re not a Kamala person. You’re a Khabib person – but you’re not a Kamala person."
