Joe Rogan and Elon Musk discuss giving everyone on Earth high-speed internet with Starlink
Joe Rogan has hosted Elon Musk several times on his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience. During his 2021 appearance on episode #1609, the CEO of Tesla discussed his plan to help provide everyone on Earth with high-speed internet.
Rogan asked Musk what bandwidth should be expected from Starlink, to which the latter replied:
"Long-term, we're talking about gigabit level. Gigabit, low latency so you could play like a fast-twitch video game, download a movie super fast, it'll be great... They're going to go from having trash for internet to having incredible internet."
Musk went into detail about latency, bandwidth, and how the population of an area could affect various outcomes:
"Everywhere on Earth will have high bandwidth, low latency internet... Starlink is great for low to medium population density, but the satelites are actually not great for high density urban. You're actually better off having 5G for that because here's the thing, that satelite's pretty far away... It will provide some kind of amount of connectivity in dense, urban environments."
While SpaceX began launching Starlink satellites in 2019, Musk has since shared that his goal is to provide high-speed internet to everyone by 2023. It is unclear at this point if the company will be able to reach that goal since we are almost at the end of 2022.

Joe Rogan discusses the effects that sports have had on humanity
Joe Rogan remains among the most popular people on the planet thanks to his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience. During episode #1909, the UFC commentator discussed how sports has affected society. Speaking to guest Stavros Halkias, Rogan stated:
"There's a thing that people have inside of them, they want to conquer... It's a weird thing that we have in us and it makes you wonder, if people hadn't figured out sports and hadn't figured out games, how much would we be f**king each other up?"
While the link between sports and the advancement of civilization is nearly impossible to prove, the growth of both has coincided. Additionally, as Rogan pointed out, the majority of humanity nowadays fulfills their desire to achieve greatness through sports.
