Joe Rogan highlights limitations of fighters like Conor McGregor and Francis Ngannou: "I don't think it's possible"

Joe Rogan recently highlighted the limitations of fighters like Conor McGregor and Francis Ngannous, noting it's difficult to find a fighter with the perfect combination. He noted that both fighters were power punchers but lacked the durability that others had in the division.

Both Ngannou and McGregor achieved a great deal of success throughout their respective UFC careers. They were known for their highlight-reel knockouts and feared for how precise they were with their strikes.

During a recent episode of his JRE MMA Show, the UFC commentator told guest Belal Muhammad that there are limitations with fighters like 'The Predator' and 'The Notorious'. Rogan mentioned that Ngannou and McGregor were powerful but he has yet to see a fighter with that level of power as well as stamina to match the output for longer periods:

"You're never going to see a guy like Francis [Ngannou] that has the kind of cardio that Cain [Velasquez] has. I don't think it's possible...With Francis, you get the touch of death, you get that one shot... But I don't think you get that power with that endurance. I've never seen anybody...[McGregor] even. Amazing power but he doesn't have the kind of endurance that some of these guys that have less power do." [32:48 - 33:19]

Joe Rogan discusses whether Tom Aspinall has the perfect combination of power and endurance

In addition to sharing his thoughts on Francis Ngannou and Conor McGregor's skillset, Joe Rogan discussed whether Tom Aspinall has the perfect combination of power and endurance.

During the aforementioned episode, Rogan mentioned that Aspinall has clearly shown that he has power through his impressive knockouts, however, he has yet to be in a position where his endurance is tested later in a fight. He said:

"Aspinall, like, we've only seen him smash. We've never seen him be the nail...And he took [the Sergei] Pavlovich fight with a fu**ed up rib...And he knocks him out standing. He's so fast for a heavyweight, but again...what is it like in the fifth round with Jon Jones?" [35:38 - 36:31]
