Joe Rogan impressed by Marlon Wayans playing the character 'Quon grilling Nathan Wade: "Killed it"

As someone who likes to support other comedians, Joe Rogan had high praise for Marlon Wayans' segment on The Daily Show. In a June 20 tweet, Rogan showed his support for the actor's comedic skit as "'Quon" on the Comedy Central television show.

Wayans joined the show in 2023 as one of the several spotlight hosts who have filled in for the popular series following Trevor Noah's exit in 2022. On the episode Rogan reacted to, the 51-year-old interviewed former prosecutor Nathan Wade on his alleged affair with district attorney Fani Willis that led to his resignation.

In approval of the skit, Rogan tweeted:

"Holy s*** this is funny! @MarlonWayans killed it!"

On the show, Wayans' character comedically questioned Wade on his affair, one that caught mainstream media attention in early 2024.

Like Wayans, Rogan has previously done work as an actor and stand-up comedian, though the successful podcaster has settled into his role as the host of The Joe Rogan Experience and a commentator on UFC pay-per-view events.

Does Joe Rogan still do comedy?

UFC commentator Joe Rogan rose to fame as a prominent television personality but has also gained nationwide recognition for his work as a stand-up comedian. However, with the success of his podcast, the 56-year-old has lessened his relevance in the comedy world.

While he is not fully retired from comedy, Rogan is no longer actively performing in shows or on-screen as an actor. He still occasionally performs but has not made it a priority since moving to Texas in 2020.

Comedians remain the most common guests Rogan brings onto his podcast with their shared subject of interest, but he has also taken up an increased interest in politics, health and fitness.

As of 2024, Rogan is still the longest-tenured UFC analyst but only works on pay-per-view events within the United States.
