When Joe Rogan disclosed his plan to depart the UFC once Dana White steps down as CEO
Joe Rogan revealed that his tenure as a UFC color commentator is directly tied to the continued leadership of Dana White.
The popular podcaster and comedian, who has been a fixture of UFC broadcasts for over two decades, has stated that he will leave the promotion if White ever steps down as president/CEO.
Rogan, who is now 55 years old, has significantly reduced his workload in recent years but remains a key figure in UFC commentary.
During a 2022 episode of his podcast, Rogan explained that his decision to remain with the UFC is primarily due to his friendship with White:
"Dana was like... he doesn't sleep. He's always going. I could call Dana and have a two-hour conversation with him at 2 in the morning. He's an animal. He's just, like, always doing stuff. He's always involved, he's always getting got deals, he's always working on fights, he's always... He f***ing loves this sh*t... It's in my contract that if he ever leaves, I leave. I'm like, 'I don't want to do this for anyone else.'"
