Joe Rogan and Matt Walsh discuss how Elon Musk’s NASA connections keep him silent on controversial issues
Joe Rogan and his latest podcast guest, Matt Walsh, have discussed Elon Musk's relationship with NASA, believing it often forces him to remain quiet on multiple issues.
On episode #2243 of The Joe Rogan Experience, the UFC color commentator welcomed Walsh to the show. Walsh is a US political commentator, author, and columnist who has often been in the news for his conservative views over recent years.
During the show, the pair discussed various topics before eventually deep-diving into NASA and the Apollo 11 moon landing in 1969. Man stepping onto the moon is considered one of the biggest feats ever achieved in human history; however, its legitimacy is still debated to this day.
Walsh then offered his take, admitting that the only thing that would stop him from believing in the moon landing is if Elon Musk revealed he wasn't so sure about it. He said:
"One thing that would shake my faith considerably in the moon landing is if Elon Musk were to come out and say, 'I don't know about this moon landing.' If the moon landing was faked, he knows it was. He's the richest man in the world."
Rogan agreed but stated that it is likely the X CEO has a contract with NASA that would prevent him from speaking about it:
"He [Musk] has a contract with NASA. He has to be very careful about what he says and does. For him to say something incredibly insane like we never meant to the moon. That would be a big risk with zero reward because there's no way to prove we didn't go to the moon."
