Joe Rogan and Navy SEAL veteran explore how Dick Cheney could have profited from US wars: "And now he supports Kamala Harris"
Former US Navy SEAL Shawn Ryan believes former vice president Dick Cheney profited off America's involvement in the middle eastern conflicts, and Joe Rogan for one agrees.
During his appearance on episode #2207 of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, the NAVY veteran delved into how Cheney could have misused his office to get lucrative contracts in conflict-ridden zones like Afghanistan and Iraq.
For context, Cheney served as the CEO of Halliburton, one of the world leaders in the energy industry, for a brief time in the mid-1990s. During a good duration of both the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, Cheney held the office of vice president (from 2001 to 2009).
According to a report by Mustang News, during this time Halliburton is known to have received billions of dollars worth of no-bid contracts in both countries.
Addressing the issue during the podcast, Ryan said:
"It was the f*****g logistics company for two wars... They are delivering your mail, they are building your barracks...they are in charge of fuel, everything. Everything that is logistical there is Halliburton... Who was the CEO? The vice president of the f*****g country."
Rogan responded by taking aim at the Democratic Party for their change in stance towards Cheney, who they termed as a career Republican. The 55-year-old put forward his thoughts on the Democrats getting excited after Cheney endorsed Kamala Harris for the 2024 elections. He said:
"And now he supports Kamala Harris. When you see the left getting excited that Dick Cheney is supporting their candidate, you know the world has gone haywire. The same people that used to think Dick Cheney was the devil, now all of a sudden [are like] look Dick Cheney."

When Joe Rogan accused Dick Cheney of going to war "under false pretenses"
It looks like Joe Rogan feels the US's war on Iraq was brought forth by corporate greed. The UFC commentator believes former VP Dick Cheney used the conflict as an excuse to gift Halliburton billions of dollars worth of military contracts.
Talking to comedian Tony Hinchcliffe on episode #1400 of the JRE, Rogan seemingly accused Cheney of misusing his office for personal gains:
"Imagine a guy who is the vice president of the United States, who is also a guy who used to be the CEO of Halliburton. Then this guy decides to go to war under false pretenses. They make up some sh*t about weapons of mass destruction, they blow this f*****g place to smithereens, and then Halliburton gets no-bid contracts... to repair the places they blow up, and he was making money off of it."
