Joe Rogan reacts to the media labeling 'Freedom' as a word for far-right protestors

Joe Rogan is known to discuss a wide variety of topics on his hit podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience. The UFC commentator recently shared his opinion on the word freedom being used in connection with far-right protestors.

Speaking with guest Bridget Phetasy on episode #1941 of JRE, Rogan stated:

"There was a thing on the CBC and it was talking about the word freedom and that the word freedom is being used many times by far-right activists. Freedom. Canada is so f**king wild right now. It's such a really crazy place. Here it is, 'why the word freedom is such a useful rallying cry for protestors. The word has become common amongst far-right groups.'"

Rogan added that there is no indication that the Canadian truckers discussed in the article were far-right, noting that they did not like the idea of being forced to do something in order to keep their job. He added that in addition to being labeled as far-right, they were labeled racist and misogynistic by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau as a way to discredit their protest before stating:

"This is what they're doing here with the term freedom, which is like one of the most basic tenets for human rights - your liberty as a human being, your ability to express yourself, your ability to talk about things, to protest, to do what you want. Freedom is so f**king important."

Rogan added that it is shocking to see an article discrediting the idea of freedom. The podcast host shared that he believed Canada to be a friendly place where people understood things prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Joe Rogan questions narrative that Elon Musk has turned far-right

Joe Rogan recently questioned the narrative that Tesla CEO Elon Musk has turned far-right. Speaking to guest Matt Taibbi on episode #1940 of JRE, the UFC commentator stated:

"There's an amazing amount of resistance against him and just the publicity campaign against him has been fascinating to watch. People go from thinking that Elon Musk is this savior that's bringing us these amazing electric cars and engineering new reusable rockets to he's an alt-right piece of s**t who wants Donald Trump back in the office. It's very wild."

Rogan questioned the narrative while asking for evidence to support the idea that the Twitter CEO is a right-winger. He added that the narrative is due to Musk allowing Donald Trump to return to Twitter.
