Joe Rogan is ready to "fly to the moon" just to commentate  Alex Pereira vs. Dricus du Plessis: "I want to see that fight"

Joe Rogan recently expressed interest in a potential Dricus du Plessis vs. Alex Pereira, champion vs. champion bout, and noted that he would love to be on the call for it. The two UFC champions made it known that they would be in favor of a bout, however, the middleweight champion had the stipulation of it being contested at 205 pounds.

It's important to note that the JRE host has a unique contract with the promotion in that he only works domestic pay-per-view events rather than Fight Night and international events. With that in mind, it's a compliment to both du Plessis and Pereira that Rogan would be in favor of making a special exception.

During his JRE Fight Companion this past weekend, the podcast host and UFC commentator appeared thrilled with the idea of 'Stillknocks' possibly moving up to 205 pounds in an attempt to achieve double-champ status. Rogan mentioned that Pereira taking on du Plessis in a light heavyweight title bout would be exciting. He said:

"If Dricus [du Plessis] goes up to 205 [pounds] and fights Alex [Pereira], oh my goodness. I'll fly to the moon to commentate that fight. I want to see that fight. That's crazy."

Joe Rogan reacts to Dricus du Plessis submitting Israel Adesanya at UFC 305

Fans witnessed Joe Rogan's immediate reaction to Dricus du Plessis submitting Israel Adesanya at UFC 305, as he hosted his JRE Fight Companion on YouTube.

During the aforementioned watch-along, the JRE host reacted and praised du Plessis for his performance and resilience displayed against Adesanya. Rogan mentioned that it would be difficult to dethrone the South African, especially with what he displayed against a striker like 'Izzy'. He said:

"Oh my God. Dricus [du Plessis] is a fu**ing animal, dude...I was saying that those punches even though he's exhausted, you can't be in those exchanges, you're gonna get clipped. If you get clipped, you're in real trouble. F***, he got hit with those big right hands, man."
