Joe Rogan recalls how Barack Obama's taunt inspired Donald Trump's US presidency run: "You do not want that fu*king guy on your bad side"
Joe Rogan recently recalled the time former US President Barack Obama once taunted Donald Trump, and believes it may have been the catalyst for his presidential run.
Rogan was speaking on episode #2176 of The Joe Rogan Experience (JRE) with guest and fellow stand-up comedian Chad Daniels. The pair discussed a host of topics during the show, including the current US political landscape as well as the presidential race between Trump and Joe Biden.
The UFC color commentator then mentioned the White House press correspondence dinner, an annual event where the White House staff, press and President get together. It has also become a tradition for comedians to be invited to the event to perform and roast people.
Rogan then recalled when Obama once took to the stage at one of the correspondence dinners, where he opted to taunt Trump, who at the time had yet to run for president.
Rogan said:
"One time during the correspondence thing, Obama went on stage and he roasted Trump. One of the lines he said to Trump was 'I'm one thing that you'll never be and that's President of the United States."'
The JRE host then stated he believes Obama's roast was a turning point for Donald Trump. He continued:
"He was roasting Trump. You could see Trump in his head like 'Okay, I'm going to run now.' That might have been the thing that got him to run. That's how crazy that guy is. That one moment where Obama was talking sh*t to him, might be the reason he was like 'I'll f*cking show you'. You do not want that f*cking guy on your bad side!"

Joe Rogan reacts to assassination attempt on Donald Trump
Joe Rogan has shared his reaction to the shocking scenes in Butler, Pennsylvania, that saw Donald Trump almost be assassinated.
Trump was speaking to his supporters at a campaign rally, when a sniper on a nearby rooftop attempted to kill him. Multiple shots were fired, however, they missed, only hitting the 78-year-old's ear.
During the same episode of the JRE, Rogan spoke to Chad Daniels about the shooting. According to Rogan, the entire situation was like a scene from the popular dystopian series 'Black Mirror'. He said:
"The whole thing is nuts... The whole thing stinks of either incompetence or a design, or we're in The Matrix... The whole thing is bananas. He's 20 years old, and then you find out he was in a BlackRock commercial?... Is this the Black Mirror? Is this real?"
