Joe Rogan at his sarcastic best while breaking into laughter watching Liver King's steroids apology - "He did it for the hurting people!"

Joe Rogan recently discussed Liver King's apology video that the latter issued after his steroid use was exposed. Despite issuing an apology, Liver King aka Brian Johnson provided a weird justification, claiming to have done so in an attempt to uplift depressed people.

Rogan broke into laughter while sarcastically reiterating Johnson's justification. The UFC color commentator told his guest, fitness educator Derek on The Joe Rogan Experience (JRE) Podcast:

"He did it for the hurting people. Come on Derek."

Rogan further noted that Johnson misled his fans into believing that a could reach their fullest potential by merely eating liver. According to the UFC color commentator, people with suicidal tendencies would be even more depressed after failing to achieve their goals by only eating liver:

"He wanted everybody that's depressed and trying to kill themselves, to reach their highest most dominant form. But, he wanted to lie about how he achieved his physique. So, mislead these people that just by eating liver, you can come close to that. So you fail at that as well as everything else you failed [at] in life."

Joe Rogan's big words of praise for Derek

Joe Rogan was impressed with fitness educator Derek even before their encounter on the JRE podcast. Soon after Derek exposed Liver King's steroid use, Rogan shared high words of praise for the fitness entrepreneur during an episode of his podcast.

Comedian-actor Kurt Metzger recently confused Derek's profession during an episode of the JRE podcast. Metzger asked Rogan:

“Who’s he? Like a chemical engineer?”

The UFC color commentator cleared up the confusion and also admitted that even he had mistaken Derek for a chemist due to the fitness educator's vast knowledge. told his guest Kurt Metzger during a previous episode of the JRE podcast:

"No, man. He’s just f*****g super-smart and reads research… I thought he was a chemist.”
