Joe Rogan shares how Alan Graham's first impression intrigued him about his community for the homeless: "I want to get him on the podcast"

UFC commentator Joe Rogan is known to express his opinions on a wide range of topics on his popular podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience. Rogan recently opened up about how his first thoughts piqued his interest in Alan Graham's community for the homeless.

Graham is the founder and CEO of Mobile Loaves & Fishes (MLF), a Christian social outreach organization that gives needy homeless men and women food and clothing, and fosters community.

Graham is also the main creative force behind MLF’s Community First! Village, a 51-acre master-planned neighborhood in northeast Austin that offers men and women who have suffered from chronic homelessness access to supportive community and affordable, long-term housing.

In a recent episode of JRE, Rogan spoke to Graham and praised his work. The 56-year-old also discussed how he wanted to know more about the latter's work, saying:

''The way I was introduced to you, my wife and I went to a fundraiser and you had this incredible demonstration of what you're doing and what your organization is all about and then maybe more importantly you came out and talked and the way you talked was with no ego and with kindness and with sincerity and immediately I thought, I want to talk to that guy.''

Rogan continued:

''When you were on that stage talking, I was saying to my wife, we got to get his information I want to get him on the podcast. I want to talk to him. I just want to find out what's going on with him because you I think, you're a very unusual person...it's beautiful, it's really very extraordinary and I don't think there's very many people that would do that what you've done.''

Joe Rogan believes good people do exist

Joe Rogan believes that despite negative news, the majority of people are good. Rogan identifies the main cause of the overwhelmingly negative media coverage as the public's obsession with "threats."

In the aforementioned podcast, Rogan explained it to Alan Graham, saying:

"[People] gravitate so much to elevated threat levels that we concentrate on the bad people... The news just gets you freaked out about nuclear war [or] is that really [Joe] Biden or is that a guy in a Biden suit? Whatever it is, it's just more crazy things that get you freaked out. But the majority of your experiences with other people are pretty positive." [30:00]

Rogan went on to say that he thinks modern society is 'engineered to stay alive' because of humanity's survival instinct and concentrates on threats.
