Joe Rogan and Theo Von question FBI and CIA corruption, discuss ties to Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, and JFK assassinations
Joe Rogan and Theo Von recently delved into a discussion about the trustworthiness of the FBI and CIA on This Past Weekend w/ Theo Von podcast. Rogan also mentioned how some people believe these agencies were also linked to the assassinations of several noteworthy US personalities.
Rogan and Von mostly choose to go unsolicited regarding the topics of their discussions on their podcast appearances. This time, the duo started the episode with talks about the experiences from one of their recent outings in Las Vegas.
However, one of Von's recent Instagram stories showcased that they also conversed about how far the US covert agencies, the FBI and the CIA could be trusted. Von asked Joe Rogan:
"Do you think we can trust our FBI anymore?"
Rogan replied that there might be corrupt individuals in the FBI, just like in most other organizations. But he also mentioned that some are great "patriots".
"The FBI is like people. And the people in positions have power... Some do get corrupted, some are great patriots. It's just like everything else."
Rogan also highlighted the popular theories about the questionable conduct of such agencies:
"I think [corruption happens] with every group of people that are in power that don't have a lot of oversight… There’s a lot of people that think the FBI back in the day… had something to do with Martin Luther King's assassination. There’s a lot of people that think they had something to do with Malcolm X's assassination and Kennedy. There's a lot of fu**ing theories and I don't know the truth."
