Johan Ghazali admits his confidence was at an all-time high heading into ONE 168: “I knew Josue Cruz had nothing for me”
Johan Ghazali was brimming with confidence ahead of his return to the Circle at ONE 168: Denver.
Emanating from Ball Arena in The Mile High City, 'Jojo' was determined to bounce back after suffering his first setback on martial arts' biggest global stage. He did exactly that, scoring another highlight-reel knockout against Mexican slugger Josue Cruz during the promotion's critically acclaimed sophomore appearance in the United States.
Speaking with ONE Championship following his sixth victory under the ONE Championship banner, Ghazali said he knew that his opponent wouldn't be much of a threat once it came time to throw hands:
“I knew Josue Cruz had nothing for me".
With the win, 'Jojo' is now 6-1 in ONE with five of his wins coming inside the distance.
What comes next for the 17-year-old superstar remains to be seen, but it's safe to say that fight fans will be chomping at the bit to see just how far 'Jojo' can go in ONE's loaded flyweight Muay Thai division.
