Johan Ghazali-Josue Cruz flyweight Muay Thai war added to ONE 168: Denver on September 6

There's no grander stage for Johan Ghazali to redeem himself after dropping his perfect streak in his last outing at ONE Championship last month. The teenage knockout machine is now locked in for ONE 168: Denver on September 6, where he takes on Mexican slugger Josue Cruz in a flyweight Muay Thai war that emanates live from the Ball Arena.

After earning four impressive victories – three in highlight reel fashion – in the ONE Friday Fights series, the Malaysian-American youngster earned a six-figure contract and a golden opportunity to compete among the planet's most elite warriors.

And just as the 17-year-old had done throughout the promotion's weekly offering inside the 'Mecca of Muay Thai', the Sarawak-based fighter made the most of his American primetime debut with an eye-catching 36-second KO of Edgar Tabares at ONE Fight Night 17.

Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. And that was the case when he duked it out against Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat at ONE 167.

Despite putting on a high-octane performance, 'Jojo's' youthful energy failed to surpass Duy Nhat's veteran experience as the Vietnamese bagged a unanimous decision after three rounds.

With redemption on his mind, Johan Ghazali is sparing no effort as he seeks to return to winning ways against the 28-year-old Mexican in his mother's homeland.
