John Lineker confident his 'Hands of Stone' can destroy Rodtang's legendary iron chin: "It wouldn't be different"
Former bantamweight MMA world champion John Lineker has proven time and time again that the knockout power in his fists is the greatest equalizer in combat sports.
'Hands of Stone' has delivered memorable knockouts throughout his legendary career and has put a lot of durable fighters to sleep.
If given the opportunity to test one of the most notoriously hardest chins in the game today, Lineker believes his power will still prevail.
Shortly after adding Alexey Balykov to his long list of KO victims at ONE Fight Night 25 last Oct. 4, the Brazilian spoke about his desire to battle reigning flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon.
While 'The Iron Man' has never been knocked out in the world's largest martial arts organization, Lineker confidently said that he's the man who will break that streak.
"I always go up there for the knockout, to fight, to win, and with Rodtang it wouldn't be different. I would go there to fight for the win."
John Lineker recently took his talents to 'The Art of Eight Limbs', where he scored back-to-back wild knockouts over Balyko and Asa Ten Pow.
The 34-year-old has made it clear that MMA is still his priority, but wouldn't mind continuing his Muay Thai journey especially if it leads to his coveted fight with Rodtang.
John Lineker says he wouldn't run from Superlek if their paths collide
If John Lineker continues his rampage in the bantamweight Muay Thai ranks, it won't be long before he inches closer to a world title shot against the division's ruler Superlek Kiatmoo9.
'The Kicking Machine' is arguably one of the greatest strikers on the planet today after achieving two-sport and two-weight supremacy.
Still, 'Hands of Stone' said he'd gladly challenge the Thai icon if the opportunity presents itself. He said in his ONE Fight Night 25 post-fight interview:
"I'm a fighter. I would never escape from a war. So as I said, I'm building up my career in Muay Thai step by step. But for sure, I would fight [him]."
