John Lineker still itching to settle unfinished business with Fabricio Andrade: "I hope it happens"
John Lineker is doing extremely well for himself since transitioning to Muay Thai in the world's largest martial arts organization. Still, the former bantamweight MMA world champion believes the chapter of his career in mixed martial arts is far from done.
'Hands of Stone' still has sights on recapturing his old throne and taking it from his tormentor and reigning 145-pound MMA kingpin Fabricio Andrade.
Lineker shared in his ONE Fight Night 25 post-event interview with Nick Atkin:
"He hasn’t defended yet because I asked him to wait for me. So yes, I hope it happens as soon as possible."
John Lineker's desire to get even with his fellow Brazilian Fabricio Andrade is understandable, given the nature of how those two matches ended for him.
His clash with 'Wonderboy' at ONE on Prime Video 3 back in 2022 ended in a no contest after an inadvertent groin shot. The rematch at ONE Fight Night 7 also didn't go his way, as Lineker suffered a TKO defeat.
Following his recent career resurgence, it's clear that 'Hands of Stone' still has a lot left in the tank.
While the Brazilian veteran doesn't mind taking more heads in his Muay Thai detour, a redemption arc in MMA will always be in his mind.

John Lineker believes Rodtang won't survive his 'Hands of Stone'
John Lineker upped his Muay Thai record to 2-0 at ONE Fight Night 25 on Oct. 4 by blasting Alexey Balyko into oblivion.
Given his seamless transition to 'The Art of Eight Limbs', fans and pundits alike are wondering how he'll fare against some of the biggest names in the striking arts.
'Hands of Stone', for one, wants to test his infamous finishing power against one of the most durable fighters to lace up the four-ounce gloves, Rodtang Jitmuangnon.
Speaking to Nick Atkin, Lineker confidently claimed he could knock out 'The Iron Man':
"I always go up there for the knockout, to fight, to win, and with Rodtang it wouldn't be different. I would go there to fight for the win."
The replay of ONE Fight Night 25 is available on demand for Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
