Jon Jones addresses infamous video of him “avoiding” Georges St. Pierre outside nightclub

Jon Jones has been known to enjoy himself away from fighting, sometimes too much. The two-division champion has been involved in several incidents outside the octagon including DUI's, and he recently addressed one of the most infamous videos of his career.

The video, which was originally aired by TMZ, showed Jones standing right behind fellow UFC legend Georges St. Pierre outside a club. When the person taking the video tells St. Pierre that 'Bones' was standing behind him, the American can be seen shaking his head at the camera.

For years, the speculation was that the New York native did not want to be seen by, or party with 'GSP'.

But ahead of Jones' upcoming fight against Stipe Miocic at UFC 309 on Nov. 16, he addressed the infamous video in an interaction with Jon-Bernard Kairouz. The presenter asked the 37-year-old whether he was avoiding St. Pierre. In response, Jones said:

"I'm glad to have the opportunity to address that because that's been a speculation for a really long time. Georges and I were really really close in our lives. I was hanging out with some of my teammates, and I had no clue that Georges St. Pierre was there."

He continued:

"I see someone mentioning, 'Jon Jones is right behind you.' I look, and I could only see the back of Georges' head. So I'm like, 'I'm not sure where the camera is and I'm not sure what they're getting ready to do with me. But I'm not here to be on camera, I'm here to go inside the nightclub.' And then I turn around and I realize that it's Georges St. Pierre and I'm like, 'Oh my goodness it's Georges St. Pierre!'"
