Jon Jones gets real with his reaction to Francis Ngannou claiming he is forever undisputed as no one beat him
Jon Jones vs. Francis Ngannou has been placed right next to Tony Ferguson vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov on the list of dream fights in the UFC that will never take place. Ngannou's departure from the promotion in January signaled an end to the possibility of Jones facing 'The Predator' in the octagon, much to fans' disappointment.
Jones wished Ngannou well following the former champion's decision to explore free agency. However, after discovering that 'The Predator' believes he will forever be the undisputed heavyweight champion because no one beat him, 'Bones' has expressed an entirely different opinion.
Jon Jones took to Twitter earlier today and stated:
"I found an interview of Francis talking about how he’ll forever be the undisputed champion because no one beat him. Once I saw that, my tone changed. I thought I would tell how I really felt. He did make the right decision, he left before I came back. Smart move!"

Furthermore, in a recent interview with RMC Sport, Jon Jones stated that Francis Ngannou lacked the self-belief to defeat 'Bones.' The former light heavyweight champion blamed Ngannou for the fight never taking place, stating that 'The Predator' had opted out of facing him.
Jones vacated the light heavyweight title in August 2020 and began preparing himself for the move northwards. 'Bones' has aspirations of becoming a two-division UFC champion, and many believed that his heavyweight debut would be against Francis Ngannou.
However, 'Bones' will face Ciryl Gane for the heavyweight title in the main event of UFC 285 next weekend.
Jon Jones believes Ciryl Gane may be setting up a "trap" after revealing his lack of work ethic
Ciryl Gane shared a startling revelation about his lack of work ethic during an interview with La Sueur. Gane stated that following his previous fight against Tai Tuivasa in September 2022, he had barely trained until his fight announcement against Jones.
'Bon Gamin' revealed that he only trains when he has a fight announcement, and stated:
"I'm lazy, that's the truth. I only train when a fight is announced... I had a fight announced... I had my fight against [Tai] Tuivasa, barely trained since then, and now I'm back [at] it since the [Jon] Jones fight has been announced."
However, Jon Jones believes that Ciryl Gane may be trying to lull him into a false sense of security, and responded accordingly on Twitter:
"I smell a trap, either way doesn’t matter, I’m training my ass off"
