Jon Jones makes feelings known after fan brings up "hit-and-runs involved" in current training camp
Jon Jones recently provided a befitting reply to a fan who mentioned his hit-and-run misconduct in the comments section of his Instagram post. The post featured Jones in one of his training sessions and had nothing to do with the hit-and-run case that he was previously charged with.
Jones is currently working hard to prepare for his upcoming UFC 309 main event encounter against Stipe Miocic. The fight will be his return to the octagon after a year-and-a-half-long hiatus and will also mark his first UFC heavyweight title defense.
Jones' Instagram reel showed him going through the various stages of a weight training session, including bench presses, bent-over rows, and chin-ups.
However, one fan ignored all of them and made a comment about Jones' 2015 hit-and-run case. They wrote:
"How many intoxicated hit-and-runs have you been involved in this camp, goat?"
Jones picked out the irony in the comment and schooled the fan with an apt reply:
"Man, Instagram really gives me a glimpse of how miserable some of you guys really are out there."
What is Jon Jones' hit-and-run case all about?
This incident is not the first time that Jon Jones has been asked about his previous hit-and-run misconduct.
On 26 April 2015, the Albuquerque Police Department revealed that Jones had been charged with a hit-and-run after the Rochester native crashed his vehicle into a pregnant lady's car. To make things worse, the lady, named Vanessa Sonnenberg, also suffered a broken arm in the accident.
Jones sped away from the scene of the accident only to be arrested by the police later, who charged him with possession of marijuana as well. Later, Dana White and Co. decided to strip him of his light heavyweight title.
The fan's comment implies that the ghosts of Jones' past will probably follow him throughout his life. However, his Instagram reel showcases that he is determined to make better things happen in his life by working hard.
