Jon Jones perfected his front headlock guillotine technique by watching UFC legend perform it in a training camp
Jon Jones has revealed who he learned the art of guillotine choking from after recording his fourth guillotine submission against Ciryl Gane.
'Bones' made a triumphant return to the Octagon at UFC 285 by recording a first-round submission win over Ciryl Gane to become the heavyweight champion. The win marked his fourth guillotine finish in the UFC. AFeldmanMMA on Twitter released a video of Jones talking about who he learned the technique from during training camp:
"It was crazy coz Georges St-Pierre came down in our training camp and I was watching how much of a professional George is. And George is working that choke from the head lock position and I'm watching him do it over and over again. And Greg didn't want me to do any work on it at all because I was like, I was just getting ready to fly to Vegas, but it was just a blessing in disguise."

This move has become a staple in Jon Jones's arsenal of moves. One of his most iconic wins over Lyoto Machida was a standing guillotine choke that rendered Machida unconscious and made him drop to the floor. It was almost poetic to see 'Bones' pull out the move for his debut in the heavyweight division.
Jon Jones sends a bone-chilling message to Stipe Miocic
Jon Jones was very confident following his win over Ciryl Gane. In his octagon interview with Joe Rogan, he called out Stipe Miocic who was sitting in the crowd and smiling as Jones called him out.
Later, during the post-fight press conference, 'Bones' shared a bone-chilling message to Miocic and even gave his predictions for the fight:
"I say it respectfully to Stipe. I would take time off from being a firefighter right now and I mean that with all due respect. My whole world is going to be focused on him. This is the biggest opportunity of my life, to beat the heavyweight GOAT. And I'm going to give it everything I got....I'm going to not only beat Stipe Miocic, I'm going to finish Stipe Miocic before the championship rounds."
Jon Jones has his eyes set on cementing his legacy as the greatest UFC fighter of all time. Stipe Miocic is virtually the only fighter that stands between Jones and his destiny. Both fighters seem to have agreed to a fight, but there has been no official announcement yet.
