Jon Jones ranks himself ahead of Khabib Nurmagomedov, GSP, and Anderson Silva on all-time great list
Jon Jones believes he is the greatest fighter in UFC history after ranking himself first in his list of top five fighters of all time.
'Bones' is widely considered by fans to be one of the greatest fighters to step into the octagon, as the 35-year-old has dominated almost every opponent he's faced. Jones would also have been undefeated (26-1-1) had it not been for an illegal elbow disqualification early on in his UFC career.
Jon Jones vacated the light heavyweight title in 2020 with the aim of becoming the heavyweight champion. As a testament to his own skills in MMA, Jones left the 205-pound division as the record holder for most title defenses, most wins and longest win streak.
In a recent interview with RMC Sport, Jon Jones was asked to name his top five fighters in UFC history. Unsurprisingly, the 35-year-old opted to name himself first, ahead of fighters such as Georges St-Pierre and Anderson Silva:
"My top 5? Let's see here. If I'm allowed, I would say myself, Anderson Silva, Georges St-Pierre, Khabib Nurmagomedov and Jose Aldo. Those are my favourites atleast."

Dan Hardy weighs in on Jon Jones vs. Ciryl Gane
Jon Jones will make his heavyweight debut next month as he is set to take on Ciryl Gane at UFC 285 for the vacant heavyweight title.
Many fans and fighters have been theorizing what the gameplan will be for each man, with the general consensus that Jones will look to execute a heavy wrestling approach, whereas Gane is expected to focus on winning the stand-up game.
In the latest episode of The War Room podcast with Dan Hardy, 'The Outlaw' analyzed the bout and the threats that each man poses to one another. According to him, 'Bones' skinny ankles and unorthodox stance could be an option for 'Bon Gamin' to exploit:
"The one thing about Jon Jones that's not gonna look heavyweight is his ankles. Like, you get sh*t from Joe Rogan constantly about it like, 'Attack his legs. He's got skinny legs, attack his legs.'...pupper-body and his quads is gonna look like a heavyweight, but he's still gonna have those skinny ankles."
Dan Hardy added:
"There might be some wildcards to pull out the back pocket and the ankle lock might be one of those things because if I'm looking at Jones and I'm trying to find a physical weakness, his ankle is probably the easiest thing to attack."
