Jon Jones responds after fan calls him out for looking "terrified and unsteady" on bike - "I’ll get that confidence back"

Jon Jones is back in the gym preparing for his return, but he does not feel as if he has his feet beneath him. With his return reportedly coming up at the end of 2024, Jones is slowly making his way back to full strength.

As he documents his recovery on social media, Jones posted a video of his second week riding a mountain bike down a dirt path since his surgery. As an avid outdoorsman, 'Bones' called himself "hesitant" but noted that his return to normal life is right around the corner.

The post slightly backfired, with one fan mocking the UFC heavyweight champion's demeanor on the vehicle, calling him "terrified."

However, instead of retaliating, Jones admitted that the fan was correct but believed his confidence would soon return. He posted:

"In all honesty, I kind of was [terrified]. The gravel felt slick today, didn't want those wheels sliding out from under me. I'll get that confidence back."

Since his return to training, Jones has been exponentially more active on X, routinely snapping back at fans criticizing him for his inactivity and lack of facing interim champion Tom Aspinall.

Regardless, Jones remains adamant on fighting Stipe Miocic upon his return and continues to argue his point of view with any user willing to challenge him.

Is Jon Jones fighting Stipe Miocic?

Jon Jones' first heavyweight title defense has yet to be announced since the champion tore his pectoral in late 2023. However, the general public recognizes the high likelihood that he will return against Stipe Miocic in late 2024.

Adding to the rumors, Jones posted a cryptic message on X stating that he will return on Nov. 9 in Madison Square Garden. Currently, Jones does not officially have a fight booked.

Meanwhile, Dana White has confirmed that current interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall will defend his title in the co-main event of UFC 304 against Curtis Blaydes. The July pay-per-view fight card will be held in Manchester.
