Jonathan Di Bella believes Prajanchai war will boil down to who has better IQ: "Whoever is smarter will win the fight"
Jonathan Di Bella claimed his upcoming world title fight against Prajanchai PK Saenchai will be a "technical battle." On April 5, Di Bella was scheduled to defend his ONE strawweight kickboxing world title against Prajanchai.
Unfortunately, the Canadian-Italian missed weight and was forced to vacate his throne before pulling out of the fight due to an emergency trip to the hospital.
Instead, the world-class strikers will meet on June 28 in the ONE Friday Fights 68 main event. During an interview with ONE, Di Bella had this to say about his upcoming matchup against the ONE strawweight Muay Thai world champion:
"I believe whoever uses their IQ and whoever is smarter will win the fight. Fans should expect a technical battle."
Heading into ONE Friday Fights 68, Prajanchai is riding momentum after knocking out Joseph Lasiri in December 2023 for the ONE strawweight Muay Thai world title.
Meanwhile, Di Bella hasn't fought since October 2023 when he defended his strawweight kickboxing world title against Danial Williams.
Who else is fighting at ONE Friday Fights 68 besides Jonathan Di Bella and Prajanchai?
Jonathan Di Bella vs Prajanchai isn't the only reason to watch ONE Friday Fights 68. In the co-main event, ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek returns for a non-title Muay Thai matchup against Konghoranee, who has won seven consecutive fights on the Friday Fights Series.
Superlek holds an undefeated promotional Muay Thai record of 9-0. The Thai superstar must avoid serious injuries against Konghoranee, as he's scheduled to challenge ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Jonathan Haggerty on Sept. 6 at ONE 168: Denver.
The June 28 event also features Suablack vs. Kiamran Nabati (bantamweight Muay Thai), Petchtanong vs. Alaverdi Ramazanov (bantamweight kickboxing), and Shadow Singha Mawynn vs. Jimmy Vienot (featherweight Muay Thai).
ONE Friday Fights 68 goes down inside the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. Next week's intriguing event can be seen via pay-per-view.
