Jonathan Haggerty says he doesn't care about what online trolls write about him: "I can laugh it off"

Jonathan Haggerty doesn't make much of naysayers opinions after dropping his ONE bantamweight Muay Thai crown to 'The Kicking Machine' Superlek Kiatmoo9 at ONE 168: Denver.

The keyboard warriors were quick to rub salt in his wounds as he was put to sleep by a wicked elbow from the Thai superstar inside just 49 seconds of their main event tilt.

As painful as the defeat was, the ONE bantamweight kickboxing world champion views that setback as another learning curve. With that mindset locked in, he's blocked out unsolicited noise from the online trolls.

In an interview with Sky Sports MMA Club Podcast, Jonathan Haggerty said:

"I'm quite good at it, to be fair [handling trolls]. I can laugh it off. Like I said, I've been at the top before. I've done the hard fights. I've proved myself time and time again."

The Englishman's loss inside the Ball Arena last month put an end to his six-match winning run against Nong-O Hama, Felipe Lobo, Fabricio Andrade, Vladimir Kuzmin, Mongkolpetch, and Taiki Naito.

But as he has done before following successive defeats to ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon, the 27-year-old Londoner is ready to fire on all cylinders when he steps on martial arts' biggest stage next.

Jonathan Haggerty says no animosity exist between him and Superlek

Despite whatever pre-fight antics that were shared, Jonathan Haggerty concedes there is no bad blood between him and Superlek at all.

In the same interview, the British slugger went on to add:

"He's a very respectful athlete, very respectful fighter. So I congratulated him and he spoke to me and my family as well, so there was no animosity there. We're all good."
