Jonathan Haggerty suggests Nico Carrillo fight for potential ONE Championship London card
ONE's two-sport world champion Jonathan Haggerty is eager to fight back home, and he suggested who could be his next opponent after his world title defense at ONE 168: Denver on September 6.
Without looking past his challenger, the ONE flyweight kickboxing king Superlek Kiatmoo9, Haggerty shared whom he deems worthy to challenge him next for the bantamweight belt, and where they should clash.
That potential challenger is Nico Carrillo, and the potential venue he wants would be in London, England, where he could fight in front of his hometown supporters and British fans live on-ground.
'The General' told the South China Morning Post about a potential London card he has in mind:
"Yeah, definitely. I feel like Nico [Carrillo] is definitely next in line. It'll be unfair if he didn't get the shot in the London arena."
He added:
"So, yeah, me versus Nico for the main event. [Liam] Harrison versus, who knows, whoever he wants, maybe Rodtang like what you just said. Let's give him to Rodtang."
However, that is still in the future.
In the present, fans will witness another jawbreaking clash of titans when two of the best pound-for-pound strikers in the world collide inside the Ball Arena.

Jonathan Haggerty laser focused on his preparation for ONE 168
British superstar Jonathan Haggerty is completely undistracted by all the noise surrounding his epic world title defense against Superlek Kiatmoo9.
For the past month, 'The General' was locked in his training sessions in Denver, Colorado, ahead of ONE 168 which takes place in 'The Centennial State's' Ball Arena on September 6.
Jonathan Haggerty has gone far in length to ensure no stones are unturned when its time for him to step into the circle, and although he knew Superlek got the better of him back in 2018, he will do anything in his power to flip the script.
Tickets for ONE 168: Denver are available via Ticketmaster.
