Jonathan Haggerty ‘very thankful’ to ONE Championship and Fabricio Andrade for giving him chance at two-sport glory

Reigning and undisputed ONE bantamweight Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion 'The General' Jonathan Haggerty of the United Kingdom has reached unprecedented heights in his career, and is thankful for the opportunity to showcase his skills in the world's largest martial arts organization.

Haggerty is appreciative in particular to ONE and former opponent Fabricio 'Wonder Boy' Andrade, who gave him a good challenge last year with the kickboxing gold on the line and a shot at two-sport supremacy.

In a recent video uploaded to his official YouTube channel, Haggerty gave props to Andrade for their ONE Fight Night 16 battle last November.

'The General' said:

"This was a kickboxing fight, no elbows. He decided to give me the title shot, the opportunity to become the double sport world champion, which I was very thankful for. He's obviously the MMA fighter world champion. He had some kickboxing fights as well."

Haggerty put on a show in that fight, defeating 'Wonder Boy' by second round knockout. Andrade is, of course, the ONE bantamweight MMA world champion, but the Brazilian was also a former kickboxer early in his career.
