"Jones has some fruity tendencies" - Colby Covington reacts to Jon Jones beating Stipe Miocic in nuclear rant involving 'Bones' and "300-pound slobs"
It appears the spat between Colby Covington and Jon Jones isn't going to end anytime soon, as Covington has once again targeted Jones in a fiery rant. This time, the former interim welterweight champion brought up 'Bones' history with women and asserted that he knew Jones' secrets.
After a significant absence from MMA competitions, Covington will return to the octagon in a welterweight clash against rising contender Joaquin Buckley at the promotion's last event of the year UFC Tampa on Dec. 14 at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.
During the UFC Tampa media day, Covington went off against Jones, reigniting their feud. He recalled their time in college, saying:
''Jon [Jones] has some fruity tendencies. I think the media needs to look into some of the fruity things that he does. It’s very strange. But I can tell you that I know he has been with some women, because I remember in college he always used to get the fattest girls in the school. I’m talking 300 pounds-plus. Dude, he knows deep down inside, this is not a joke.''
Covington continued:
''He knows deep down inside, like, I know his dark, hidden secrets that are in his closet. He’s been with some of the fattest, 300-pound slobs. It’s disgusting. Dude, Jon Jones is an absolute f**king disgrace to this earth. He’s a f**king joke... He’s a f**king coward, he’s a cheat, and he’s a woman beater.''

In his recent MMA outing at UFC 296 last year, Covington was unsuccessful in capturing the UFC gold from Leon Edwards after suffering a unanimous decision defeat. Notably, Jones expressed his admiration for Edwards for his performance against 'Chaos'.
Despite being roommates during their time at Central Iowa Community College, Covington has always been a harsh critic of Jones.
Colby Covington issues stern warning to Joaquin Buckley ahead of UFC Tampa
Colby Covington will want to pick up a few wins to get back into title contention, and it all starts with Joaquin Buckley. The two are set to face each other at UFC Tampa this weekend.
In a recent interview, Covington cautioned Buckley about their upcoming fight:
''The fight just looks like me completely breaking him [Buckley], taking him down, taking his will, bringing him to the deep end of the pool and drowning him. I just don't think he'll be able to keep up... I'm going to drown him and he's not going to be able to hang up with me for 25 minutes.''
