Jorge Masvidal claims Colby Covington gave his former girlfriend herpes
Jorge Masvidal's fallout with Colby Covington has been well-documented as the pair went from close friends to arch rivals. During a recent appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience MMA Show, 'Gamebred' discussed their past.
Speaking on episode #137, the No.11-ranked welterweight stated:
"He's a b**ch bro and he showed his true colors for the money, for the pay-per-view. He talked about my kids, my family, to maybe sell extra pay-per-views. [We were] not friends, I was f**king his everything - his mentor. I was already in Strikeforce. I had competed against Gilbert Melendez. I was an established pro when he came over to American Top Team."
Jorge Masvidal continued:
"I was living up at American Top Team. I had an apartment over there for about a year and change. He broke his hand. His girlfriend had f**king kicked him out of the place because he had given her f**king herpes and s**t so he had like nowhere to f**king live so he asked if he could crash on my couch. I was like yeah f**k it bro we're both on this journey together."

Masvidal added that Covington lived on his couch for a year without paying him as he was unemployed at the time. He pointed out that there are videos of 'Chaos' claiming he wouldn't be where he was without the help of 'Gamebred'.
The No.11-ranked welterweight claimed that when he moved up to the division and began receiving attention, their relationship began to fracture. He further accused the No.2-ranked welterweight of refusing to pay their striking coach his trainer fees.
Jorge Masvidal claims he will legally murder Colby Covington before his career ends
Jorge Masvidal is not a fan of Colby Covington's character. While speaking with Joe Rogan, 'Gamebred' shared that he plans to legally murder 'Chaos' before retiring, stating:
"I promise you before my career is over, I'm going to f**king murder Colby - in the cage, legally... Legally, in the cage, in the UFC, I'm going to f**king snatch his soul one way or another. If you let somebody come into you and you share something with them and then I would use that because me and you had a falling out, it really shows your f**king character. You're a f**king piece of shit."

Masvidal claimed that nobody likes Covington, pointing out that he had a similar falling out with UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones. 'Gamebred' will make his return to the octagon at UFC 287 next month.
