"The guy's like borderline vegetable" - Jorge Masvidal says "old a** dude" Nate Diaz shouldn't be fighting in the big leagues
Jorge Masvidal is building an MMA promotion of his own, called iKON FC, and 'Gamebred' recently held the fifth event in the company's history.
Masvidal was interviewed by Mike Heck of MMA Fighting, and he asked 'Gamebred' to share his thoughts on Nate Diaz's final UFC performance. Heck mentioned the 'fortune' bestowed upon Diaz when Tony Ferguson replaced Khamzat Chimaev at the last minute.
'Gamebred' followed on from Heck's comments, saying that the Stockton native had no place in the UFC.
"I think the guy's like borderline vegetable. His interviews' spunkness, his wittyness and sharpness has got to s**t. You have to wait for him, the pause has gotten longer. You used to asked him a question, it'd be like a 2 second delay, it's like a 30 second pause now. Good for him man, he shouldn't be in the big leagues, he's going to get hurt. Take that old a** dude somewhere else."

Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz fought for the one-off 'BMF world title' at UFC 244. 'Gamebred' managed to get the victory via doctor's stoppage at the end of round three.
Jorge Masvidal is eyeing a fight with Conor McGregor
Jorge Masvidal last stepped into the octagon in March 2022 against Colby Covington. 'Gamebred' is currently 3-3 in his last six fights, but all three losses have been consecutive.
During a previous interview with Mike Heck, 'Gamebred' discussed various possible opponents for his next fight. Welterweight star Gilbert Burns was mentioned, as the Brazilian has called 'Gamebred' out on social media.
Conor McGregor's name was also brought up as he edges closer to an octagon return. The Irishman suffered a gruesome leg injury against Dustin Poirier in 2021 but is entering the final stages of rehab.
While speaking to MMA Fighting, 'Gamebred' said:
"The one that makes the most sense is little b***h Conor [McGregor] right? I wouldn't mind getting a fat paycheck for beating that f***ing midget's a** up. I don't know if it's going to happen. Gilbert [Burns] makes sense, but also Leon's [Edwards] been calling me out left and right, saying he wants to defend the title against me."

With Edwards holding the belt, it will be interesting to see whether Masvidal is still eyeing a fight with McGregor or if he would prefer to chase UFC gold instead of a massive payday.
