Jorge Masvidal in talks with Italian government to potentially host never-done-before event at Colosseum: "It would be nuts"
Jorge Masvidal, the former UFC BMF champion, is all set for his eighth Gamebred Bareknuckle MMA event, which will take place on Nov. 15, 2024, in Biloxi, Mississippi. In a recent interview, Masvidal revealed that he is in talks with the Italian government to host the event at the Colosseum in Rome.
Speaking to MMA Mania, 'Gamebred' mentioned that he is planning to hold the event at the historical landmark as no promoter has ever done that. He said:
"It'll be the first time to fight bare knuckle in Italy; no one's ever done that before. Maybe even at the Colosseum, we're talking to the people over there. It would be nuts because that's where this type of entertainment started...It would be the craziest thing ever, and no promotor has ever done that, but your boy right here is about to do it. We're working on it; we're talking with the Italian government."
