Jorge Masvidal talks possible Jake Paul boxing matchup, but a recent loss to Tommy Fury may cause a hiccup
Jorge Masvidal has opened up about the possibility of a boxing fight against Jake Paul, but two major hiccups could prevent it from happening.
'Gamebred' is currently signed with the UFC and Dana White usually does not allow fighters to fight out of contract. The only exception is Conor McGregor who faced Floyd Mayweather back in 2017. Another hiccup is the fact that 'The Problem Child' recently lost to Tommy Fury.
In an interview with MMA Junkie, Masvidal spoke about a potential boxing fight:
"They already bursted that bubble just because I always said it would be a great fight for me. I could knock him out, make a lot of easy money while doing it would have been Jake Paul. But you know, that ship has sailed now that he does not have that 0, maybe comes back and gets a couple wins and stuff but that's probably the only dude."
Jake Paul is also looking for an opponent to make his MMA debut against. Since signing for PFL, the YouTuber-turned-boxer has revealed that he will also compete as an MMA athlete. However, it would not be wise to fight 'Gamebred' for his octagon debut.

Jorge Masvidal says he would take Jake Paul's head off if they fought

The YouTuber-turned-boxer faced his first loss against Fury, who dominated him for the entire duration of the fight. When asked about a potential fight against 'The Problem Child', Masvidal shared his prediction and issued a warning to the YouTube boxer:
"I'm a pro with 50 fights. I'm not gonna get tired throwing heat and I'm gonna really come to take your head off."
Judging off Paul's most recent fight against Tommy Fury, Jorge Masvidal was able to observe that the YouTuber-turned-boxer did not have the ability to counter or slip punches and was not ready to fight anyone of his level yet.
