Jorge Masvidal vows to ‘legally murd*r' Colby Covington before ending his career on Joe Rogan’s podcast 

UFC fighter Jorge Masvidal has vowed to "legally murd*r" his former friend and opponent, Colby Covington, before ending his career.

During the latest episode of the popular Joe Rogan Experience podcast., Masvidal revealed that he had known Covington wasn't a good person for some time, citing an incident in which Covington failed to pay their mutual striking coach after promising him a 5% cut of his earnings.

"I want to take a bite to his f**king neck. But my coach is like, 'don't do it bro, you will fight him and that's how you'll get him for both of us."-Masvidal said on the show. [1:50 - 2:07]

Masvidal went on to promise that he would defeat Covington in the cage, saying:

"I didn't get him that time [at UFC 272] but I promise you before my career is over, I'm going to f**king murd*r Colby in the cage legally." [2:07 - 2:15]

Masvidal and Covington have a long-standing feud, with the two fighters exchanging heated words both in and out of the octagon. Masvidal lost to Covington via unanimous decision in their first meeting at UFC 272, but it appears that the American Top Team fighter is eager for another shot at his rival.

Fans will no doubt be eagerly anticipating a potential rematch between the two fighters, as Masvidal looks to exact revenge and settle his score with Covington once and for all.

Jorge Masvidal opens up about how lawsuit against him by Colby Covington has affected his career

Jorge Masvidal, the No. 11 ranked welterweight fighter, has opened up about the impact that a lawsuit filed against him by fellow fighter Colby Covington had on his career.

Speaking on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, Masvidal revealed that the legal case, along with other personal issues, contributed to his lengthy absence from the sport.

"Injuries and felonies and lawsuits and a bunch of crazy st," Masvidal explained. "I just didn't want to go into a fight with all this outside f**king bulls**t on my head... Not having so much clouds over my f**king head before I step back in that ring... I don't want to be fighting with a gun to my head facing all these charges that I got going on, this bulls**t that I got going on."

Masvidal's legal woes began shortly after his fight with Covington in March 2022, when he was arrested and charged with aggravated assault after allegedly attacking his former friend and opponent outside a restaurant in Miami, Florida.

However, Jorge Masvidal is set to make his return to the octagon at UFC 287 in April, and fans will no doubt be eager to see how the fighter performs after his extended break. Despite the legal and personal issues he has faced, 'Gamebred' remains one of the most popular fighters in the UFC, and his upcoming bout is sure to be highly anticipated.
