“Just let it all out in the cage” - Nico Cornejo vows to put the pedal to the metal against Adrian Lee in Denver

ONE Championship newcomer Nico Cornejo is ready to let it all hang out in his promotional debut.

After going 5-0 as an amateur, Cornejo was able to transfer that second to his mixed martial arts career, earning back-to-back knockouts on the Colorado regional scene. Now, 'The Steel City Kid' will have the chance to properly introduce himself to the world on martial arts' biggest global stage.

Emanating from Ball Arena in The Mile High City on Friday, September 6, Cornejo will look to hand highly-touted teen prospect Adrian Lee his first career loss when the two tussle at ONE 168: Denver.

Offering some insight into his game plan going into his premiere appearance for the promotion, Nico Cornejo plans to do what he's always done—show up and show out.

"I'm gonna show up, just like every fight. I'm a finisher and I'm just going to go out there and let my work do the talking. Just let it all out in the cage."

Adrian Lee gunning for second-straight win against Nico Cornejo at ONE 168: Denver

Getting a win in his promotional debut will be no easy task, as Nico Cornejo's opponent is practically MMA royalty.

Adrian Lee comes from a long line of successful martial artists. His older brother and sister—current two-division titleholder Christian Lee and former atomweight queen Angela Lee—are two of the most prolific finishers in ONE Championship history. Needless to say, the youngest of the Lee family has some pretty big shoes to fill, but he's fully prepared for the challenge.

Lee is already off to a good start, earning a second-round victory over Antonio Mammarella at ONE 167 in June.

Will he make it back-to-back wins in ONE, or will Nico Cornejo spoil the 18-year-old's sophomore appearance?
