“Just wanna enjoy every moment” - Muay Thai legend Liam Harrison wants no regrets in the ring in twilight of career
Liam Harrison plans to appreciate every moment as his legendary fighting career reaches its final chapters.
Two years ago, Harrison suffered a career-changing injury against then-bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Nong-O. The UK superstar wouldn't allow the knee surgery to send him into retirement, but it's only a matter of time until he officially hangs up the gloves.
Before considering retirement, 'Hitman' is scheduled for a legacy matchup against fellow Muay Thai legend Seksan. Harrison and 'The Man Who Yields To No One' will meet for a catchweight bout on September 6 at ONE 168: Denver, which might steal the show on a night filled with entertaining fights.
During an interview with the South China Morning Post, Harrison had this to say about his upcoming fight and his inevitable retirement:
"Once it's done, it's done. And then I'll look back and be like ‘F***ing hell, wish I could still do that.’ So yeah, just wanna enjoy every moment to the build up to this fight. So yeah, see how this fight goes, and see from there."
ONE 168 will take place inside the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado, with two title fights ending the night. Tickets for the highly anticipated event featuring Liam Harrison vs. Seksan can be found on Ticketmaster.

Where does Liam Harrison stand in the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai division?
Liam Harrison's retirement timeframe shouldn't be overanalyzed, as an impressive performance at ONE 168: Denver could lead to several more fights. Furthermore, the 38-year-old is closer to a ONE bantamweight Muay Thai title shot than some fans may believe, regardless of the rankings.
With a knockout win against Seksan, Harrison might rejoin the bantamweight Muay Thai rankings. Once he's in the top five, the hard-hitting legend would arguably be one fight away from a title shot, especially if Jonathan Haggerty defends his throne against Superlek at ONE 168.
Harrison and Haggerty have established a rivalry over the last year, creating a fantasy matchup for UK Muay Thai fights. Firstly, 'Hitman' must prove he has plenty of gas left in the tank by taking out the always dangerous Seksan.
