Justin Gaethje claims he is set to compete in a surprise celebrity golf league in the near future
UFC lightweight contender Justin Gaethje recently revealed that he will be participating in a celebrity golf league, which has taken many fans by surprise. The league will feature various well-known figures from different industries, and Gaethje is excited to be a part of it.
While 'The Highlight' is best known for his skills in the octagon, he has shown a keen interest in golf in recent years. The athlete has shared footage of himself practicing his swing on social media, and his participation in the upcoming golf league highlights his passion for the sport.
In a recent interview with Andrew Capucetti of Inside Fighting, during which Justin Gaethje discussed the possibility of former President Donald Trump attending UFC 287 in Miami. Gaethje expressed his enthusiasm at the idea of Trump being in attendance and even expressed his desire to golf with the former president if given the chance, he stated:
"Going to golf, let's enjoy some time off. I gotta play in a celebrity golf League coming up so I got to get my sh*t together."

The former UFC interim lightweight champion went head-to-head against Rafael Fiziev in the highly anticipated co-main event of UFC 286. Despite a tough and grueling three-round battle, Gaethje emerged victorious with a majority decision scorecard of 29-28 on two of the judges' scorecards and a 28-28 draw in the third.
This impressive victory has helped solidify Justin Gaethje's position in the highly competitive lightweight division, putting him one step closer to earning another title shot opportunity. While he suffered a loss against Charles Oliveira in a bout for the vacant UFC lightweight championship, his recent victory against Fiziev has proven that he remains a formidable contender in the division.
Justin Gaethje continues his quest for a rematch with Dustin Poirier
Back in 2018, Dustin Poirier secured a victory over Justin Gaethje in the UFC on Fox 29 with a fourth-round TKO. However, Gaethje has been eagerly awaiting an opportunity to settle the score with his opponent ever since. Despite this setback, Gaethje has managed to climb the rankings in the lightweight division and is currently positioned at an impressive No. 3 in the rankings.
While Poirier's victory over 'The Highlight' was certainly impressive, Gaethje has continued to improve and evolve as a fighter ever since. His recent performances in the octagon have proven to be a force to be reckoned with.
In a recent interview with MMA Fighting, the Arizona native expressed his desire for a rematch with 'The Diamond' following his victory over Rafael Fiziev at UFC 286. Gaethje emphasized the importance of settling the score with his opponent, expressing his strong desire to avenge his past setbacks and solidify his position as a top lightweight fighter, stating:
"I think that's the obvious answer. He's No.2, he has no dance partner, and the same with me. I think that fight is certainly a title contention fight. The winner of the Oliveira and Dariush fight, obviously they are going to fight for the title in October, so I need to fight Dustin in August, September, or October to put me on that perfect timeline."
