Kade Ruotolo picks Tye’s win over Izaak Michell as his favorite moment in ONE: “He was going through a lot of things”

Kade Ruotolo was very proud of his brother's big win over Izaak Michell.

Making their promotional debuts at ONE 157 in May 2022, Kade and Tye Ruotolo have taken the BJJ world by storm, putting together identical 7-0 runs under the ONE banner and capturing 26 pounds of gold in the process.

During a recent appearance on the Beasts with Brains Podcast with Alex Wendling, Kade Ruotolo revealed that of all the moments he and his brother have shared on martial arts' biggest stage, Tye Ruotolo's submission victory over Michell at ONE Fight Night 21 was his favorite.

"I’d say my favorite moment under the promotional banner is my brother’s last win over Izaak. Even though I got my submission right before, especially watching how my brother, he was going through a lot of things in his personal life and a lot of struggles in training, and for him to go out there and have the performance he had, I was just so relieved. I was so excited, I was so happy for him."

Musumeci also enters the bout unbeaten in ONE with a spotless 7-0 record. If he manages to take Ruotolo's 'O' in The Centennial State, he will not only extend his own undefeated streak, but he'll also etch his name in the history books as ONE Championship's first-ever two-division submission grappling king.
