The former UFC welterweight champion dropped the 170-pound strap to Leon Edwards despite dominating the majority of the fight, up until the last minute. The Nigerian-American got caught with a thunderous left kick and subsequently went out like a light.

In a recent interview with TMZ Sports, Kamaru Usman revealed that he is clear-sighted on his goals while also providing a possible timeline for a title rematch:

"Yeah, I'd go grab that [welterweight title] back probably top of next year. I think we'll make that happen. Of course, like I said that night after it happened, I would love to got to England and do this in England."

Usman further added that he has a lot more fans in England than Edwards himself:

"I got a lot of fans in England. A lot of my African and a lot of my Jamaican fans in England. I think I have more fans in there than he will."
