Kamaru Usman and Henry Cejudo discuss if Conor McGregor should headline UFC Noche at Las Vegas Sphere: "You are crazy!"
Conor McGregor fighting at UFC Noche inside of the Sphere was bantered about recently by two prolific UFC fighters in their own right. Kamaru Usman and Henry Cejudo were discussing the part BKFC owner competing on the promotion's looming show at Las Vegas Sphere which takes place on September 14.
The event goes down at UFC 306 and celebrates Mexican Independence Day with Riyadh Season becoming the title partner for this card. McGregor was set to fight Michael Chandler this weekend in the UFC 303 headliner but the welterweight matchup was scrapped following the former injuring his toe but indicating his desire to return into the octagon soon.
Cejudo and Usman got into this topic on a recent installment of their Pound 4 Pound podcast.
Cejudo was discussing how serious he sees McGregor is about fighting and asked his co-host if he was crazy for suggesting that the former UFC two division champion may serve as a co-headliner for a hypothetical UFC Noche booking.
To that idea from Cejudo, Usman stated:
"Yeah, you are crazy. Let's say Mike Tyson is not the champ. He's not fighting for the belt but you're telling me you're going to make Mike Tyson a co-main event?"
Cejudo ended off the clip by stating that if McGregor was included on the card, it can be the biggest event in the history of combat sports.

Conor McGregor and the last time he wasn't in the main event
Conor McGregor is the biggest draw in mixed martial arts history and the idea of him not being a headlining fighter seems ludicrous to many. In fact, it has been close to a decade since the Irish superstar has fought anywhere outside of the main event billing.
The 35-year-old's last time-fighting in a non-headlining capacity took place in his first fight against Dustin Poirier. This transpired at UFC 178 in September 2014 and was headlined by Demetrious Johnson defending his flyweight championship against Chris Cariaso.
'The Notorious' would collide with Poirier in what would eventually turn into a three fight series, as of this writing, between the two combatants. Conor McGregor would earn the win against 'The Diamond' by way of strikes, punching out Poirier less than two minutes into the opening round of the matchup.
The Dublin native has always been the final fight of the next in the ensuing years following this statement win.
